1. Install Extension and Local Agent
The Chrome extension lets ChatGPT work with YouTube in your browser. The Local Agent adds downloads and tools for files on your computer.
Open GitHub ReleasesDownload the latest release and extract the archive to a location of your choice.
2. Add ResearchTube to ChatGPT
Open ChatGPT Plugins and add a custom MCP server. Use these details:
- Server URL
https://rtube.win- Name
- ResearchTube
- Description
- Turn YouTube into answers
- Authentication
- OAuth
- Icon

Choose the icon from the installed ResearchTube folder.
Choose OAuth, sign in with Google and install the plugin.
